Chemical shipments intercepted en route from North Korea to Syria

Two shipments sent by North Korea to a Syrian government chemical weapons agency have been intercepted in the past six months, according to a UN report. The 37-page report, seen by Reuters yesterday, gave no details of when or where the consignments were seized, but stated that the transfers were being investigated.

Turkey’s President said on Monday that his country will continue to work with Jordan to prevent the recurrence of attacks and violations of the kind that took place at the Noble Sanctuary of Al-Aqsa in occupied in Jerusalem recently, Anadolu has reported. Recep Tayyip Erdogan made his comments during a meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah at the Husseiniya Palace in Amman.
 

13 killed in Barcelona, Daesh claims responsibility

A manhunt was underway for the driver of a van that mowed through crowds of tourists on Barcelona’s most famous avenue on Thursday, killing at least 13 people in an attack that was claimed by Daesh.
